Britannia Hotel - Bournemouth

Stayed in a double bedroom, Good points, clean, good breakfast, bar good, friendly staff, reasonably priced, room was nice and warm. Not so good points, bathroom was too small and cramped, shower head suitable for someone 5ft and smaller, mattress too hard, pillows too flat. TV was the size of a postage stamp. Enjoyed the stay but might upgrade next time too see if there upgraded rooms cater for tall people. Weird selection of paintings in the bedroom we noticed. Made the room feel very depressing.

Have always slept well here, rooms are really spacious for the price, however that normally means not as warm. Staff have always given an extra heater on request. Clean rooms, showers are good. Very relaxed atmosphere, quiet hotel. Good value for money and booking in is easy.

Service received was good but the rooms a little dated with creaky beds, the breakfast was ok and very much self service with little direction and labelling regarding the layout, the hot plate server was extremely hot and with no warning, which for children could be very dangerous. You get what you pay for but some simple changes could make big differences.

Needs a dam good clean and restoration out dated decor. Extremely unattended paintwork. Lifts are tiny. Only fit one wheelchair in no other room for suitcases. Having said that the staff are fantastic and happy to help . It's a shame about the condition of the rooms . I think it would be a nice hotel. Can't fault the staff only the maintenance of the rooms. Four stars for the staff. The building gets 1star.

Was ok for a place to crash but rooms are a bit dated and not exactly "spotless". Our bathroom door was broken, the TV was sticky and there was hair in the bath, and not enough fans for every room on a hot night but the bed itself was comfortable. Location was great!

I am having a lovely staycation. I was not quite aware how close it was to the beach but that was not an issue apart from it being bank Holiday weekend. The service from the reception and restaurant staff have been superb and could not do more for you. The room is a little tired but the food and pleasant nights sleep has been fantastic. A great choice. There is limited parking in the hotel otherwise goodluck. Even tho, I would come here again.

Nice and clean. Decent cheap stop for a Sunday night. Very small lifts Room was bigger than expected. I believe our room was upgraded as we booked 2 singles and got a double with a single. Highly appreciated Wasnt clear online parking is at a cost. There was no room to park anyway so had to find somewhere on the road. Which is cheaper anyway

Lovely hotel, the staff are very welcoming and hospitable, in fact other hotels have a lot to live up to now. Very close to the beach and pier. The desk staff are really nice and helpful, just for that reason alone I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for the lovely visit and experience.
